American Soldier

1) I think this is the most important picture because this is the beginning of his journey being recorded. This is where it all begins and this is what sets up the idea that he will go through hardships because he is applying for the military. This is what starts the story being photographed and wanting to be presented, what the photographer wants the viewers to know. 2) The images work together to tell a story because it is step  by step what happened to this guy, in chronological order. They show what he went through, from the start of this specific journey to the end. 3) The captions enhance the photographs because first of all they are really well done. They are written with good descriptions and information that really helps you understand more of what is happening tot his guy. 4) Ian Fisher is a high school student who decided to enlist into the American Army. He struggles at first, he is not keeping up physically and he also has some behavioral issues t

This is Betty in the grocery story because she has to get some fruit and is wearing her favorite shirt. Betty need to buy some sweet fruits for Barbra and Tom in the background because they were a bit salty that day. Margret is in time out because she has been yelling at some strangers in the mall. She came to the mall to get her son a birthday present because she forgot to get one for him. It's Harriets birthday today as she sits at her kitchen table in her kitchen. She was so tired last night and I hoped she would feel better the next day because it was going to be her birthday.

Mural Project Preview

1) My team could shoot pictures of graffiti, colorful buildings, and bright outfits. These could all go in the theme of "Colorful". 2) Three things I would need to think about while shooting are if people are okay with me taking pictures of them, the settings on my camera, and if I can get the photo I want without going out my theme my group chose. 3) There are lot's of places online we could upload our mural too. We could post it on Instagram, the Bowie website, and we could post it on Facebook too.

Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO- what do they mean?

F2.8 F16+ A1. We closely relate aperture to the pupil (in our eye) A2. The smaller aperture will create a larger f-stop, the higher aperture will create a smaller f-stop A3. Aperture affects depth of field. Depth of field is the subject or what's in focus in the photograph. The aperture has a direct affect on the depth of field, the higher aperture number, the more focus the foreground will be in, the lower the aperture number, the more blurred the foreground will be. Low shutter speed High shutter speed

Abandoned theme parks

1) I would want to visit Six Flags, New Orleans, USA because there are six flags everywhere. And to think theres an abandoned one, that's featured on a website for most creepy, not to mention in America. That's pretty cool to me and would be fun to go visit and take pictures. 2)  3) Five unusual places to visit that I think would be fun to go to are abandoned towns, asylum's, school's, buildings, and churches. 4) this is an abandoned mental institution in Bristol. 5) I would want to document this place because I think it would make people feel something. Obviously creeped out or something like that but I bet I could find some really interesting things to photograph in there. 6) I would most likely need to fly somewhere, and I don't think I would need a really high end camera but just like the ones we use in class and maybe a tripod. I would also need to make sure no one owns the property so I would not be trespassing.

Africa

1) I didn't really have that much of a reaction to what I read and saw. I did notice though that the photographer was really passionate about what he was photographing. I think he wanted to be different than lots of photographers these days and that he really knew what he wanted to capture. 2) 3) This photo shows a mother lion cuddling it's baby on some sort of rock I think. This one is my favorite because I thought it was cute, and I think it rally makes the person looking at the photo feel something and I just thought that was cool. 4) This photo shows rule of third's. It shows this by having the subject in the left of the photo. 5) He does not use a telephoto lens because he thinks that you can't show much feeling through being far away. He wants to capture the soul and by being up close he can achieve that. 6) He took these photo's because he feels moved and inspired when he visits these sort of places. 7) He hopes to show the animals in their state o

Warm up

1) When I looked at the first couple, I was thinking "great, some pictures of how much he loves her.", then it started showing photo's indicating she was sick, and as I kept scrolling I started to get not super sad, but almost in a depressed mood. 2) I get what he was trying to say with this quote and how he bounced it off the photo's he took. I think he was trying to get across that this isn't who is I guess, but it is still apart of him and still took a toll on him. 3) I honestly am not sure. I guess I could take some photo's like he did, but some I don't think I could have. 4) I would tell him that I am sorry for his loss, and that all will end well no matter how the present is looking.

Great Black and White Photographers Part 3

1) What first caught my eye about Ansel Adams photo's, is that they are very defined. What I mean by that is that they have so much detail added to them. Even in the most simplest photo's, he always finds a way to really grab your attention with the image's detail. Theres usually a lot going on in his photo's which I really like. 2)I see the sun shining down on me from above. The clear, bright blue sky behind it. I see a dark cave that only brings my curiosity to it. I hear small and medium sized creatures scurry through tiny, rigid plants and big stones. I hear echo's of nature's presence surround me in all sides. The wind's voices blows right near my ear. I feel dirty, from being outside for so long. The breeze, not cool but warm, drifts against my body. It's warm sensation may not help the sweat dripping down my face but it gives me feelings of comfort. I taste the dust, blowing in the air. The heat makes my cold water taste amazing. The sweat also
